This Spectacular 6-Minute Timelapse Of L.A. Took 2 Years To Make
This six-minute timelapse video, titled Pano L.A., took Joe Capra two years to make—it "has been the most ambitious, challenging, demanding, and rewarding project I have worked on to date," he says.
The video will bring you all over the sprawling city, from the coastline to Griffith Park, to several downtown freeways, the Broad, LACMA, LAX and Amoeba Music. You'll even get a visual of all that firework noise that takes over on the 4th of July.
To create the piece, Capra used two synced DSLR cameras, side-by-side, to capture the panoramic footage, which he delivered in vivid color. He told LAist that the sparkling appearance came out when processing the raw images.
